Centro di Ricerca Enrico Piaggio dell'Università di Pisa - Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna - Istituto di Biorobotica, Pisa

Founded in 1965, the Enrico Piaggio research centre deals with robotics and engineering. It has about 120 people among staff affiliated lecturer, researchers and doctoral students.

Born in 2011, the High School and the Institute of Biorobotics have about 250 people. They deal with wearable robotics and collaborative, medical and surgical robotics, rehabilitation, bio-inspired soft robotics, regenerative medicine, robotics industrial, prosthetics and robotic hands, neuroscience, models computational and artificial intelligence.
